Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for customer quality issue and fast response times, including responding to complaints, requesting part returns for analysis, asking customer questions on understanding how, when, how many, how often, since when defect(s) were found etc. Investigates customer complaints, works with cross-functional team to develop containment, short term corrective actions to prevent additional non-conforming to be shipped to the customer. Assists with input of 8D Root Cause Corrective Actions to both customer and internal portals. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) whenever there is a change in drawing or tools. Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods (including control charts, capability studies) relevant to manufacturing processes. Create programs on Video Measuring System by utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to inspect parts in production.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. Master’s degree preferred. Prior Quality Engineer experience in manufacturing environment. Six-Sigma Green Belt or Certified Quality Engineer. Can read and interpret 2D drawings and specifications including GD&T required.
