The AM Forum 2025, based in Berlin, is in its 9th edition with +700 attendees on site, +75 exhibitors and sponsors and ~100 speakers and panel discussion members.  The attendees are from across Europe and dominated by German companies, such as AIRBUS, Ariane Group, BMW, LEGO, ALSTOM, Siemens Energy, EOS & DB for example, with somewhat high profile & senior management demographic.  Our booth positioning was prominent close to a main auditorium entrance and our Expert Presentation on the subject of “Metal powders for Powder Bed Fusion – Laser (PBF-L) & Metal Binder Jetting (MBJ), with a focus on grades suitable for mould tooling” was well received by more than 50 people and directly resulted in several enquires.  Highlights from the event include an interesting presentation by LEGO Group on the subject of conformal cooling mould inserts, based on PBF-L and maraging steels with ~200 in production use and some exciting presentations related to the application of Additive Manufacturing processes in the field of space and aerospace, in particular rocket nozzles with the aim of reducing the cost from 10M Euros each to less than 1M Euros and an increase in number produced per year from 10 to more than 50.  The materials used in space applications vary from nickel alloys like IN718 & GRX810, copper alloys including C18150 & GRcop42 and high temperature materials including niobium alloys like C103.
