INDO-MIM has a world-class vacuum-melting inert gas metal powder production facility having a production capacity of 1200 TPA. It is India’s first large-scale inert gas metal powder production facility that serves metal injection molding, additive manufacturing, thermal spray, and welding applications. We are capable of manufacturing stainless steel, alloy steel, tool steel, nickel, and cobalt superalloy powders. The atomizers have an anti-satellite unit which minimizes the satellite that enhances the powder sphericity. This unique feature complements powder flowability which is critical for manufacturing powder metallurgy components. Our Inconel 718 gas atomized powder is the first in the country approved by CEMILAC for airworthiness applications.
Controlled chemical composition and consistent physical properties made our powder more suitable for the new era manufacturing techniques like laser powder bed fusion and binder jet printing applications. We serve most of the 3D printing service bureaus in India and supply powders to the US and European markets for additive manufacturing. We are also planning to produce powders for thermal spray & cold spray coating applications for the purpose of wear resistance (sliding, abrasion, erosion), high-temperature oxidation resistance, anti-fretting, and dimensional Restoration. These metal powders will be suitable for High-velocity Oxy-fuel (HVOF), Plasma Spray, Flame(powder) spray, and Cold spray technologies. We have plans to expand the production to 2500 TPA in the next 3 years to address the growing market demand.
